Bargain Log Cabins
Installation Guide
If you are
installing any Log Cabin yourself we would recommend that
you spend some time looking at the log cabin instructions and
parts list. The parts list is specific to your building and
shows idividual items, how many of each there is, a sketch of
every part and a code to identify them. There is also a
plan of the wall sections giving the parts required for building
that elevation. We suggest that you sort your parts into piles of
the same pieces if you can.

 |
| Before erecting any Log
Cabin it is most important to lay a firm and level base.
Concrete is ideal. |
When you are ready to
install your Log Cabin, check the components with the parts
list supplied |
|
|
| Lay the floor joists first,
ensuring the correct spacing. Build the first logs of the walls by
using 2 half logs and 2 full logs (see your instructions for
details) |
Follow your instructions to
build the walls, making sure the positions of the windows and
doors are correct. (once high enough to support them you
can put them in) |
|
|
| Lay the logs according
to your instructions making sure any longer logs go in the correct
places. Fit the roof joists into the
slots. |
Clad the roof by nailing through
the tongue and groove boards into the roof joists (the last boards
may need cutting to size level with the roof
length) |
|
|
| Cover the roof with the
material of your choice. |
Fit all the fascia boards
and edging. Then paint your
cabin. |
